MARTIN JOHN HENRY – ‘THE OTHER HALF OF EVERYTHING’ – OUT 10/10/11

Gargleblast Records are extremely proud to announce the forthcoming release of ‘The Other Half of Everything’, the debut solo album from our very own Martin John Henry. Henry honed his poetic talent as the main songwriter in the sadly missed De Rosa, whose albums ‘Mend’ and ‘Prevention’ beautifully revealed the emotional heart of a modern Scot.

Henry has been working for over a year with producer Andy Miller (Mogwai, Life Without Buildings) on what has become his magnum opus. Sung, plucked and synthesised with great care, the 11 tracks of ‘The Other Half of Everything’ have a sound and scope that evokes the human-touched-but-epic landscape of the cover art, while occasionally dipping into the poetic suburban folk that De Rosa fans adore.

‘The Other Half of Everything’ will be online and in UK shops on 10th October 2011!
