Gargleblast Records are proud to announce that we have landed an amazing new signing – BEHOLD THE OLD BEAR!

Behold the Old Bear

Behold the Old Bear is the wonderful guise of Glasgow based songwriter-singer-music-maker Raindeer. Raindeer is rather well known for his hard work, talent, musical inventiveness and devotion to his other band, the fabulous and recently re-formed Mitchell Museum, and also for his wonder-drumming in The Permanent Skelf (live band of De Rosa frontman Martin John Henry).

The exciting news is that production on the first Behold the Old Bear album is already underway at Gargleblast Studios in Lanarkshire, Scotland. Raindeer is working with engineer Martin Henry (De Rosa) on finishing what is sounding like a very special collection of songs. We cannot wait to hear the result of this pairing of two of our favourite artists.

Look out for a single in August, and expect the full debut album release from Behold the Old Bear in Autumn 2012 on Gargleblast Records.

BTOB LIVE THIS WEEK!!: As if this wasn’t enough happy news, you can catch Behold the Old Bear live at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow this Friday, 1st June, supporting The Grand Gestures! Tickets… here!

Also, some amazing self-recorded songs have been uploaded at Soundcloud to whet your appetite for the album…http://soundcloud.com/behold-the-old-bear

More news soon on Behold the Old Bear acrtivities.

Thanks Raindeer for bringing this excellent project to Gargleblast, let’s get it done!

Love,
Gargles
