De Rosa v Found @ Nice n Sleazy !!!
Our De Rosa versus Fence's Found, Glasgow versus Edinburgh, poignant and delicate melodic folk-pop versus eclectic experimental esoterica...despite the confrontational threats of this gig, it'll.be a wholeheartedly friendly affair: more a meeting of minds than violent face-off. De Rosa and Found both deal in heartfelt tales of urban heartbreak, sung with an unashamedly local accent and played with one ear on Scotland's rich folk history.
Two of Scotland's most interesting bands of recent times, sharing the bill at this Nice n’ Sleazy double header should win them new fans from both sides.
Sat. 15th Nov, FOUND vs DE ROSA at NICE N SLEAZY
421 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow, Scotland G2 3LG
Cost: £5
Ticket price includes free download: FOUND remix De Rosa and De Rosa remix FOUND.

Foxface Album!!
Hello pals,
We're overjoyed to announce that Gargleblast will be releasing the debut album by Glasgow's iridescent Foxface this Autumn. 'This Is What Makes Us' was recorded by our own Andy Miller at Chem 19 earlier this year and is just breathtaking if I do say so myself. The date is just about to be confirmed but should be late October/early November. We adore this band...

Desert Hearts - Hotsy Totsy Nagasaki Album Launch
*Album Launch* - The Black Box - Belfast 17th November
With support from De Rosa (acoustic set) & RG Sheils
REVIEWS
Hot Press 15th Nov
Hotsy Totsy is a little beauty. Take it to your bosom, squeeze it tight. But not too tight-it's got claws. 8/10
drownedinsound.com
Hotsy Totsy Nagasaki is most remarkable for its surprisingly massive doses of ear-splitting noise. Songs build and build and build and collapse, brilliantly and violently. Recommended? You bet your arse it is.
Across The Line BBC Radio Ulster ****ALBUM OF THE WEEK****
Great peaks of elation and anxiety, fearlessness and self-pity. Soaring tunes and stuttering verses. We feared that this album might never arrive, but it’s here and it sounds uncommonly fine.
Here it is, "Hotsy Totsy Nagasaki"
Well worth the FUCKING wait!!!
Come along, enjoy the gig, buy an album.

De Rosa
De Rosa was (re)formed from an earlier five-piece version of the band in late 2003. After the collapse of the first De Rosa, Martin Henry (vocals/guitar), continued and began the recording of their debut album. Recruited to help with the recording were local drummer and friend Neil Woodside, and bassist James Woodside.
With the release of their first single ‘Camera/All Saints Day’ and the imminent completion of their debut album ‘Hopes And Little Jokes’, 2005 is the time for De Rosa to make their music heard.
De Rosa have supported Snow Patrol, Duke Spirit, Do Me Bad Things, John Peel favourites The Aphrodisiacs, Mother & The Addicts (Chemikal Underground) & Scout Niblett. Recent airplay from Radio 1’s John Peel, Steve Lamacq, Vic Galloway & Donna Legge has spread the De Rosa fan base throughout the UK and further afield.
Desert Hearts
Desert Hearts are Charley Mooney (guitar/vocals), Roisin Stewart (bass/vocals) and Chris Heaney (drums).
Having completed their acclaimed debut album 'Let's Get Worse' for Rough Trade in 2002, Belfast-based Desert Hearts embarked on a year of touring and drinking until in mid-2003 they developed their relationship with recording engineer Andy Miller further by recording several new tracks, two of which emerged on Gargleblast's debut release 'Gravitas/Hammer and Frogs'. A new album is in the works.
They rock our fucking minds here at the Gargleblast nerve centre. They have recently supported The White Stripes, Bloc Party, Peaches and The New York Dolls.
Pan
Childhood friends since 1865, Pan write songs that in content span subjects from Darwin’s theory to brain chemistry, from pet wolves to the nature of the cosmos! They love the obtuse but embrace melody, with a real pop sensibility.
Members of the band more often than not include, Andy Miller, Pat Vandeleur, Gary Sheepdog and Chris Connick.
Pan in recent times have supported the likes of Martin Stephenson, Scout Niblett, Martha Dumptruck Massacre, CrtlAltDelete, Swearing At Motorists and The Dudley Corporation.
Desert Hearts - Gravitas
For anyone who has been musically deprived since the release of Desert Hearts' stunning debut LP on Tugboat, 'Let's Get Worse', the waiting is over. Almost 2 months after they released the 'Ocean' 7" single on no dancing records, they're back again bigger, better, faster and stronger with this amazing 7" on Gargleblast Records. 'Gravitas' is a brooding pop classic, dark in content, with a catchy aesthetic, while 'Hammer & Frogs' is like being nailed in the forehead then clawhammered backwards into an active volcano with a smart bomb clenched between your teeth. Minus the obvious risk to life and limb of course.
Shop / Audio
De Rosa - Camera
De Rosa’s debut single 'Camera' / 'All Saints Day' on Gargleblast Records is a limited edition 500 run of clear vinyl 7"s. 'Camera' hitches a killer chorus hook to stop-start vitriolic emo; 'All Saints Day' calms down with beautiful close harmonies and sparkling guitars.
Shop / Audio
Coming soon: Emer - Windows Close
Gargleblast's next release introduces Emer's fully-charged rock, sometimes resembling a noisier take on 'Murmur'-era REM, sometimes a more thoughtful Nirvana.
